SCRA 2014 EXAM PATTERN: Union public Service Commission (UPSC) is the body responsible for conducting Special Class Railway Apprentice (SCRA) examination once every two year. The SCRA 2014 Exam Pattern is quite elaborated and quite extensive in terms that the exam comprises of written test, personality test or personal interview and then the medical test or physical fitness test of the candidate selected takes place. The subjects for which written test will be conducted are Maths, Physics, Chemistry, English Language and General Knowledge.

The SCRA 2014 Exam Pattern is categorized in part I and Part II. Part I consists of the written examinations for subjects stated above in the table and the total mark allotted to this section is 600 marks. Whereas, Part II is the personality test which is conducted for total of 200 marks and is carried out only for those candidates who have have been shortlisted after after the written examination. There is a provision of negative marking as well which means for every wrong answer the candidate will be penalized and marks will be deducted for incorrect answer.
Part 1 of SCRA 2014 Exam Pattern consists of paper 1, paper 2, paper 3 and each paper will be of 200 marks and time allotted for each paper is 2 hours therefore the total of paper 1, paper 2 and paper 3 will of total of 600 marks and total of 6 hours time allotted to the candidate for attempting the exam.
